Turning It Off
Reading this on your phone?
Prefer it to (most) people?
First thing in the morning?
Same.
But in January, I started to turn it off.
Before bed.
During meetings.
While playing golf.
Whenever I could.
It wasn't easy.
But by February, my screentime was down—and feelgoods were up.
It's been months now—and it's been great.
Nothing's happened that couldn't wait.
People who want to find me usually find a way to find me.
The apps I have left are mostly functional (banking, utilities, etc.).
I read a beat-up Kindle on the train.
I don't eat with a screen.
Give it a try—you won't miss it.
